The DELE Test

DELE (stands for Spanish Diploma as a Foreign Language – Diplomas de Español Como Lengua Extranjera), issued by the Instituto Cervantes on behalf of the Spanish Ministry for Education, are official qualifications accrediting levels of competence and command of the Spanish language:

Diploma de Español Nivel A1 – Starter level
Diploma de Español Nivel A2 – Waystage or Elementary level
Diploma de Español Nivel B1 – Beginner level
Diploma de Español Nivel B2 – Intermediate level
Diploma de español Nivel C1
Diploma de Español Nivel C2 – Proficiency level

The University of Salamanca collaborates with the Instituto Cervantes in the development of the examinations and in the marking of the examination papers.
